The raw materials we use are 100 % cotton and/or 100 % wool. We have our own production facility to carry out the knitting. We use the tested, high-quality 3M Scotchlite reflector bands on the headwear.

Being a Scandinavian manufacturer we want to answer to our customers´ high demands. The starting point for our continuous product development is the needs of children in the varying Nordic climates. Our product development efforts are aimed at designing functional, comfortable and durable headwear and knitted clothes for children to play in.

Most of the product design and manufacturing work is done in our own premises in Tampere, Finland.

The functionality and correct measurements of our products are best tested by children who wear them. This is why our test group consists of children. Regular testing is a natural part of our production process and it ensures that consumers will receive Kivat products of the highest quality and excellent fit.



Recycling and climate work are an important part of our operations. Our measures include:

• No unnecessary packaging.
• Reusing cardboard boxes when possible and recycling cardboard waste.
• Wool cutting waste is recycled.
• Samples that are used or unsuitable for retail are donated to charities.
• We are also taking part in the DHL GoGreen service. With the GoGreen optional service, all transport-related emissions of carbon dioxide are first calculated and then offset through external climate protection projects.
