Cotton products
Cotton is an easy-care and durable natural material. It feels pleasant due to it ability to breathe and absorb moisture. Cotton products will keep their shape and last long when you observe the care instructions attached to the product.
Always wash the products at the temperature given in the washing instructions. Using lower temperatures may result in bleeding of colours. Do not soak but use pre-washing if necessary. Use colour washing agent that does not contain bleach. Observe the dosage instructions on the package. The use of rinsing agents is not recommended for products containing elasthane as it will deteriorate the elasthane fibres. Before hanging to dry, straighten the product and pull it carefully to correct shape. Tumble drying is not recommended.
Woollen products
Wool is a natural material with good thermal insulation properties. It is also breathable and, therefore, pleasant to wear. Woollen products will last for years as long as you remember to follow the care instructions attached to the product.
Woollen Kivat products can be machine washed using the wool setting. If your machine does not have a separate setting for wool, we recommend hand wash at max. 30 °C. Even a slightly higher temperature will cause shrinking. The use of special wool washing agent for or fine wash liquid is recommended. For hand washing dissolve the washing agent first into a small amount of hot water and then mix in cold water to make a generous amount of lukewarm washing water. Make sure that the water temperature remains constant throughout washing and rinsing.
Immerse the product into the prepared washing solution. Do not let woollen products soak but, instead, squeeze it gently clean in the washing solution. Do not rub or wring. Rinse thoroughly. In order to speed up drying, woollen products can be lightly spin-dried, or excess water can be removed by rolling the product inside a towel. Pull woollen products carefully into correct shape before drying. Dry flat with adequate air circulation. We do not recommend drying woollen products in direct sunlight or on a radiator. Do not tumble dry woollen products.
